Well 2010 is off to a rocking and rolling start for everyone here at BG.  The holidays were a great time to reflect on a great 2009 and to prepare for the roller coaster ahead in 2010.

I am currently sitting in Orlando, Florida listening to a presentation from Portland General Electric, my old utility company when I lived in Portland.  Huh, Small world.  However, the reason I am in Orlando is for the Gartner BPM Summit.  BusinessGenetics does not have a booth here at the event, but myself and Steve Baker are attending to learn about trends in the industry, network and meet those who are interested in BPM and process improvement.

As I sit in my basement office, being kept company by my dog Kaiser, I not only am trying to stay warm but hard at work on my Social Media 101 presentation.  Tomorrow is the day I introduce the concept of conversational marketing and what social media means for business to our entire company.  In the last few weeks while I have prepped for this I have read more ebooks, books, articles, blog posts, forums and discussions than I did when I was in school.  I feel prepared and overwhelmed all at the same time.
